White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer was just asked at the daily briefing if the Trump campaign’s vetting of Michael Flynn was vigorous enough in light of today’s report that the Department of Defense Inspector General has opened a probe into the former national security adviser’s receipt of money from RT in 2015.
In summary, team Trump trusted President Obama when his administration reissued Flynn’s security clearance in 2016:
