Half-Baked Attack: CNN Shuns Common Recipe Math to Smear HHS RFK, Jr., and MAHA Home-Cooked Meals

It’s quite remarkable how much ‘journalists’ rely on their dwindling audiences not understanding how things work. Take meal pricing based on ingredients, for example. As far as we can remember, this has always been based on how much of an ingredient was used. If a recipe calls for a tablespoon of mayonnaise, you calculate that as a portion of the cost of a full jar. Well, CNN says otherwise: you have to add in the full cost of the jar to get a single recipe’s true cost. Yes, that's an utterly ridiculous way to price meals.

No, it’s a natural side-effect of advanced Trump Derangement Syndrome.

RFK, Jr., called out CNN host Erin Burnett for airing the segment.

(post continues) ...burger, would you be surprised if the restaurant charged you for the whole bottle?

The Real Food Show uses standard recipe costing: we count what the recipe actually uses. The rest stays in your kitchen for the next meal—and the meals after that.

Our goal is simple: help Americans reclaim their kitchens, cook healthy food without breaking the bank, and stock their pantries with high-quality ingredients they can use again and again.

That’s how we Make America Healthy Again.

You need a pantry. You need some of the staples at hand. That's the baseline that these CNNers cannot figure out. Really simple stuff.

Like RFK Jr or not, you need to figure out how to stock your pantry.

Wow, that makes total sense.

Except to those who’ve had a steady diet of the legacy media’s ‘journalism.’

The idea is you use that olive oil mayonnaise again and again for other recipes. And you're going to use the other three-quarters of the onion for other recipes.

Magazines have been calculating it this way ever since I can remember; they'll say this is how much this meal costs, knowing you're going to use those ingredients for other meals as well.

Have people who trust CNN been buying a bottle of ketchup for one recipe and then trashing the 99 percent full bottle?

Posters jokingly say CNN didn’t go far enough to calculate the true cost of a meal at home.

Wow, who knew the recipe for a ‘Million Dollar Burger’ could end up costing a cool million? Did we do the math right, CNN?
