With police violence (and the anti-police movement in general) currently at an all time high, many of those in law enforcement are finding it hard to find motivation to continue their profession.

Two Kansas City police officers met at a nearby Chili’s for lunch when their meal took an unexpected turn.

A teenage girl leaving the restaurant stopped by their booth and dropped a note written on a napkin.

On it was one clear message:

Before Captain Rance Quinn and Captain George Sims could thank her for her support, a mom came up with her two small children with a simple request:

As if this story wasn’t heartwarming enough, when the officers were on their way out of the Chili’s, one more restaurant patron stopped them:

The two officers were overwhelmed by the massive outpouring of support, and posted the experience to Facebook to try and find the do-gooders. Which led to this response from the local community:

The Kansas City police department has asked that people share their experience “in hopes that these gestures make it back to the people who did them so they will know just how appreciated and POWERFUL their actions were.”
