MSNBC's finally starting to express some skepticism about Coke-gate but they need to go a lot further

Just yesterday, Brett did a post about MSNBC playing dumb — which, I'll grant you, comes very, very easy to them — about the cocaine that mysteriously wound up at the White House. sdf

Obviously as a journalistic outlet, it's MSNBC's job to do journalism cover for Democratic presidents and their families. So it's only natural that they'd feign ignorance about how cocaine wound up at the same White House where the president's drug-addicted son has reportedly been living.

But today, they may have hit their limit on just how much BS they're willing to go along with:

Let's get the part toward the end out of the way before we go further:

Yeah, "conspiracy theory" doesn't really seem apropos here, considering the information we do have.

Maybe the thing about the White House cocaine feeding into Biden critics' "conspiracy theories" at the end there was a half-hearted attempt to throw a tiny life preserver to the Biden administration. But it's pretty clear from that clip that MSNBC and maybe Politico — whose Eugene Daniels had to acknowledge the doubts about the White House's strategy for dealing with this — are having a harder time running interference for the Biden administration, at least when it comes to Coke-gate.

And, well, when you're a Democratic presidential administration that's lost MSNBC, you're in some serious trouble.

Of course, what would be great right now is if MSNBC could take their obvious skepticism about the Biden administration's narrative and frustration with the Biden administration's avoidance tactics and actually do some genuine journalism for a change and try to get to the bottom of what's going on.

Hilariously and infuriatingly absurd. MSNBC clearly knows that the White House is trying to bury the truth. We all know it. I'd be so pleasantly surprised to see someone at MSNBC go beyond just skepticism and dive headfirst into investigative journalism.

And if MSNBC needs help figuring out how to go about it, they should seriously consider what these tweeters have to say:

Someone from MSNBC could read any or all of those tweets to members of the Secret Service or to Karine Jean-Pierre or to someone else in the Biden administration and put this White House in the hot seat. Discuss it directly with the people involved.

So why won't they?
