Sen. Warren may want to rethink her idea to have all federal office candidates' tax returns released

Newsflash: Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren is an aspiring tyrant who, if given the chance, wouldn’t hesitate to punish anyone who gets in her way or offends her authoritarian progressive sensibilities.

OK, OK … so technically that’s not a newsflash. You already knew she was like this. But it never hurts to be reminded.

And she’s apparently determined to remind us whenever she has a chance:

According to Elizabeth Warren, if you’re a private citizen who’s even thinking about running for federal office, you’d better be OK with your personal tax return information being released in full to the public. And it stands to reason that if, like in Donald Trump’s case, you used to serve in federal office but are now a private citizen, you’d better be OK with your personal tax return information being released in full to the public. Comes with the territory, you see.

Notice that Sen. Warren didn’t say what should be done with the tax returns of those who currently serve in federal office. Probably just an oversight on her part.

Ooo, yes. Nancy Pelosi’s tax returns are probably very interesting indeed.

See where this slippery slope ends up, Liz?

That seems pretty reasonable to me. Also quite fair, seeing as they effectively robbed someone equally or more qualified of admission. That’s a crime of sorts, no?

Perhaps Sen. Warren could take the opportunity to lead by example.

You know, maybe I didn’t really give Elizabeth Warren a chance and consider the merits of her idea. This could actually be a great idea after all.
