Candace Owens is back under fire thanks to her hot take on Mein Kampf

Back in February of 2019, Candace Owens found herself in the familiar position of being in hot water, in this case over comments she made about Adolf Hitler. If you need a refresher:

Owens was quick to blame BuzzFeed and lefty journalists for the ensuing blowback, but she must have been choosing to overlook all the disgust from Republicans and conservatives.

Anyway, we’d like to think that she’d have learned a lesson or two from that whole experience, but we’d be deluding ourselves. She’s already downplayed, i.e. effectively defended, Kanye West and Kyrie Irving’s recent outbursts of antisemitism, and yesterday, she was back on the subject of Hitler:

Since when is “Mein Kampf” a historical textbook, Candace?

You heard her.

It can be considered historical, because, you know, Hitler wrote it and went on to wage a genocidal campaign against the Jews. But “textbook” implies it has some value as an objective educational tool, and that’s just not the case. At all.

If Candace is looking for more suggestions as to actual textbooks, we’re sure we can come up with others for her. “Mein Kampf” will not be on the list.

She probably lost while you were still typing that tweet.
