Yesterday, if you’ll recall, Alexander Vindman’s wife Rachel sent out this lovely tweet to her followers:
Because there’s no such thing as too nasty when it comes to taking swipes at Ron DeSantis, right?
Well, after having taken some time to think about what she’d written, Rachel Vindman apparently decided that her tweet had been out of line. She decided to delete it, and she explained why in a tweet today:
I deleted my tweet from yesterday because it was offensive to the trans community. I want to be an ally, but I make mistakes. A lot of them. Thank you to those who left rebuking comments.

Wow, Rachel. Good for you for realizing your mistake and taking the high road.

What are you laughing at, Noam? Rachel’s really, really sorry. The last thing she wanted to do was offend the trans community with her tweet about politicizing a hurricane that could leave people homeless or dead.

I actually feel pity for anyone trapped in professional circumstances where they need to actively and openly thank their abusers. https://t.co/vShuhRzSdR

"I appreciate the beatings very much. You know, I really felt it that time you landed one in my right kidney."

Eh, don’t feel too much pity for Rachel Vindman. It’s important to keep in mind that she’s still a garbage person.

How about a little concern for the potential victims of Hurricane Ian, Rachel? What if some of the people whose lives are at risk are trans? Would you care about them then, Rachel?
Wait, you deleted it because of the trans community and not… because you were making fun of hurricane victims? https://t.co/cnTRImzK94

thank you for remembering the real victims and apologizing to the trans community instead of the people about to be killed by a hurricane

Pathetic.
Rachel Vindman's Tweet was actually insulting to the thousands Florida residents who are in the path of a hurricane, and to the Governor who is responsible to repair the predicted damage.
Why can't some people set aside their political jabs, at least during a natural disaster? https://t.co/58DKlXfWJe pic.twitter.com/6bMnqPgWr9

Because some people are just garbage people. Rachel Vindman is a garbage person.
This is not enough. You did very real damage.

Really want to show you’re sorry, Rachel? Try putting your money where your mouth is.
How about not being a douchebag to the currently getting pummeled by a hurricane community https://t.co/nJRIiEx4Qv

What a novel idea.
