Max Boot joins the growing club of media elitists pushing false narrative about Ron DeSantis in desperate effort to torpedo 2024 prospects

As we told you earlier, Washington Post columnist Max Boot proclaimed that emerging 2024 presidential frontrunner Ron DeSantis “might be an even bigger threat” than Donald Trump. Right on schedule.

Feel free to read Boot’s entire column if you like. Word of warning, though: you won’t come away with a better understanding of how Ron DeSantis is meaner or scarier than Donald Trump. Not that Max minds, of course. It’s pretty clear that Max is one of those guys who likes to use a lot of words to say a lot of things that don’t hold up under even the mildest of scrutiny.

Case in point, this tweet:

This “Ron DeSantis signs  bill requiring Florida students, professors to register political views with state” narrative has been making the rounds a lot over the past couple of days, despite the fact that the narrative was already thoroughly debunked last June when it was originally made up.

Max is counting on his followers not to actually read the law, so would you really be surprised to find out that he himself hasn’t actually read it?

Of course Max Boot fell for it. He’s certainly intellectually lazy enough to fall for it. It’s also entirely possible that he knows it’s completely false and has decided to push it anyway. Because he’s certainly intellectually dishonest and malicious enough to knowingly advance a false narrative.

Whether Max Boot’s deception is willful or not, the fact remains that he is not to be taken seriously or trusted to tell the truth.

They know they screwed up … but instead of course correction, they’re just doubling down.

It’s a bold strategy. Let’s see if it pays off for them.
