For some inexplicable reason, Fox News has spent time covering the Christmas tree that an arsonist set on fire outside their Manhattan HQ.
And for a completely logical and very important reason, Washington Post media reporter Jeremy Barr has spent time covering Fox News’ coverage of the Christmas tree arson:
I tracked a day and a half of coverage of the Fox News Christmas Tree fire, which was at least referenced on every single Fox show yesterday.
The outrage has been going strong today as well.https://t.co/V3d4AbbAvv

Bless you, Jeremy. You’re truly doing the Lord’s work. Jesus would be proud.
Are you gonna be okay ?

Give him some time. He’ll get his strength back in a few days.
Jeremy, thank you. https://t.co/kkFuDRXIKx

If someone set fire to the tree outside my office, I would probably mention it to everyone I saw that day.

If someone came to your house or place of work and burned your property to the point it was destroyed would you not also talk about it and be outraged. https://t.co/RCAeEHN0cg

Rx Perhaps if an act of vandalism was perpetrated against your place of employ, you'd be a little salty too. https://t.co/CkdPpEBzLU

No, but see, there’s no reason for Fox News to be salty. Because, you know, they’re Fox News and are therefore literally the worst and need to get over trivial problems like arson.
when you went into journalism, jeremy, did you really imagine that it would require you to debase yourself in this way? https://t.co/Xh6GYcRiz6

Debasement is worth it for the noble cause of Real Journalism.
