Last week, the ACLU announced that they were suing South Carolina’s government to mandate masking in schools.
BREAKING: We’re suing to end South Carolina’s ban on mask requirements in schools, with Disability Rights South Carolina, Able South Carolina, and parents.
Students with disabilities are effectively being excluded from public schools because of this ban.
Courts must intervene.

“Civil liberties” sure have changed, haven’t they? Because now it’s not just mask mandates that the ACLU wants; it’s vaccine mandates.
Far from compromising them, vaccine mandates actually further civil liberties. They protect the most vulnerable, people with disabilities and fragile immune systems, children too young to be vaccinated, and communities of color hit hard by the disease. https://t.co/UYfQY2EEqj

Vaccine requirements also safeguard those whose work involves regular exposure to the public, like teachers, doctors and nurses, bus drivers and grocery store employees.

And by inoculating people from the disease’s worst effects, the vaccines offer the promise of restoring to all of us our most basic liberties, eventually allowing us to return safely to life as we knew it, in schools and at houses of worship and political meetings.

The ACLU’s come a long way, baby.
Who are they trying to convince with this tweet? Us or themselves? https://t.co/KoQgIp86KN
— Brandon Morse (@TheBrandonMorse) September 2, 2021
Well, they’re definitely not convincing us. Unless, of course, they’re trying to convince us that they’ve completely lost it. In that case, we’re convinced.
You’ve lost the plot

“Orwellian” means something, at least:
People overuse the term "Orwellian", but this is textbook.

Textbook.
ACLU coming out for apartheid policies
Fascinating https://t.co/bfvmE6bm2y

Ah, yes. Good point. The ACLU doesn’t seem terribly concerned with the fact that vaccination rates tend to be lower among minorities. Targeting minorities is civil liberties now.
