Well, it looks like Michael Avenatti won’t be fitted for an orange jumpsuit just yet:
A case presented today by #LosAngeles police involving attorney Michael Avenatti has been referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office for misdemeanor filing consideration, the #LACounty District Attorney’s Office announced. @CityAttorneyLA @LAPDHQ #LADAOffice

Avenatti statement on decision by LADA. It was a quick turnaround, per LADA's office — LAPD only presented its case this morning, now it's already been dropped to city attorney's office. https://t.co/PQKNSWCNcN

Avenatti may very well be innocent of the charges that were leveled against him. But there’s a certain injustice in watching him possibly get off with a slap on the wrist after what he put Brett Kavanaugh through.
