CNN senior media reporter Oliver Darcy seems to be smugger than usual lately. And that’s his prerogative. But if you’re gonna play that game, you should probably clean out your closet first.
James Hasson trolling Oliver Darcy with Oliver Darcy's own tweets is pretty spectacular https://t.co/bs7EwFnZjt

Yesterday, politics writer James Hasson decided to take a stroll down Memory Lane and examine the evolution of Oliver Darcy, and what he found was pretty interesting:
.@RandPaul campaign strategist @dougstafford: "CNN needs to address this bias and lack of journalistic integrity" pic.twitter.com/wih27CpNfJ
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) November 25, 2015
"All eyes will be on CNN's response to their employee colluding with Hillary Clinton…to attack a prominent U.S. senator on their dime."
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) November 25, 2015
Well, this is kind of awkward. https://t.co/4QIWMSrZyK
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Sometimes I wonder what the @oliverdarcy who worked at The Blaze would think about the Oliver Darcy who works at CNN. pic.twitter.com/Nzxu35Dvde
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Imagine if a new-media outlet like BuzzFeed reported this as irresponsibly as CNN and then just brushed off mistakes, moved on to new topic.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) June 23, 2016
This was old Oliver Darcy. Woke CNN Oliver Darcy knows that people who criticize CNN are just right-wing hacks. https://t.co/AXPxWkyu4V
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Interesting that hours after Obama called massacre "act of terror," CNN still going with shooting aspect in chyron pic.twitter.com/iiUCH8f5HY
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) June 12, 2016
Or CNN.
The German press reports said the 25 were hurt by tear gas. https://t.co/lOWYt6qh2K
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) June 23, 2016
Love how after a CNN segment full of speculation, anchor says, “We need to stress we don’t know what happened.”
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) May 20, 2016
Woke Oliver Darcy would be very upset by this attack on journalism. https://t.co/ZEv8BXZTcw
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
At what point does CNN not let people just make stuff up on the airwaves? One thing to argue for your guy, another to just invent things.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) April 2, 2016
Great question, and still very relevant, considering @brianstelter admitted to not confronting lies about Marco Rubio and the NRA not caring about victims of school shootings. https://t.co/Cje9idFPmY
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
I really want to know the thinking behind why certain people are repeatedly brought on CNN when they have no discernible accomplishments.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) March 30, 2016
Keeping them honest: @andersoncooper says CNN broadcasted Trump presser because “no other candidates were speaking at that point.” Not true.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) March 11, 2016
Hey @andersoncooper, can you comment on this accusation? https://t.co/WQtJ7dptqt
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Rubio spox @AlexConant demands to know how CNN ran report without asking campaign for comment: “Who does that?” https://t.co/jHO5Z6oeFH
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) March 8, 2016
Well. This is awkward on multiple levels. https://t.co/i4fDhgXU7w
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
So CNN’s @donlemon has no idea what an automatic weapon is:https://t.co/pV57wwXLTx
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) August 21, 2014
Fact check: true. https://t.co/QKLihFftrt
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Rep. Alan Grayson just claimed on CNN that the weapon used, AR-15, shoots 700 rounds per minute. Not challenged by CNN host @ErinBurnett.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) June 13, 2016
Hi Oliver, do your old standards still apply to your colleague @brianstelter not challenging teenagers who accused @DLoesch of not caring about children’s lives and Marco Rubio of being in the NRA’s pocket? https://t.co/gNM1biJv1w
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
Oh man …
i couldn't let @JamesHasson20 have all the fun
— Ben McDonald (@Bmac0507) July 6, 2018
Not when there’s so much fun to be had.
Very hard https://t.co/uUb6Pl4Rdp
— Ben McDonald (@Bmac0507) July 6, 2018
I wonder how many hours of the day CNN has their “BREAKING NEWS” chyron activated. Seriously can’t remember last time I didn’t see it.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) October 17, 2014
— Ben McDonald (@Bmac0507) July 6, 2018
Forget her views. Just curious what she's done in life that qualifies her to be a CNN analyst talking politics hours a day.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) May 8, 2016
this is just art at this point https://t.co/Gc1o11wVKr

Looks like @OliverDarcy had some pretty strong opinions about his now-coworker at @CNN, @DonLemon.? pic.twitter.com/R1Xg2zsGSq
— Jerry Dunleavy (@JerryDunleavy) July 6, 2018
Uh oh @OliverDarcy was pretty mean to now-fellow @CNN-er @AndersonCooper too.? pic.twitter.com/js6yOVALDU
— Jerry Dunleavy (@JerryDunleavy) July 6, 2018
But snark from press, take for instance CNN chyrons poking Trump, but not Clinton, doesn't help. Reinforces image media is one-sided.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) September 18, 2016
Preach it dude. ??? https://t.co/kB0Ik7Jf9Z
— Jerry Dunleavy (@JerryDunleavy) July 6, 2018
CNN quietly edits incorrect Trump story, only adds editor's note after media report https://t.co/KYnI3yN4D6

Fake News gonna Fake News https://t.co/oXrGjwy3gU

— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) July 6, 2018
I seriously can’t remember the last time I looked up at CNN and didn’t see the “BREAKING NEWS” banner.
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) July 22, 2014
The 2014 Darcy is gonna be super pissed when he meets the 2018 version of himself and sees who he works for https://t.co/Nc6JbzAivp
— Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) July 6, 2018
No kidding.
*Oliver Darcy looking at his mentions tomorrow pic.twitter.com/PDArs7PTr5

The Hack Life is hard. https://t.co/KcsHzCcdzB
— James Hasson (@JamesHasson20) July 6, 2018
That’s the thing. Darcy’s old tweets aren’t a sin in and of themselves. It makes total sense that he’d stop criticizing CNN now that he works for them. The issue is that now, on a daily basis, he’s practicing the very same hackery that he once called CNN out for.
https://twitter.com/kebejay/status/1015226880096518145
And that’s why we’re laughing at him.
LMAO @OliverDarcy’s old tweets are a dumpster fire of irony & schadenfreude.
— Jerry Dunleavy (@JerryDunleavy) July 6, 2018
I love watching @oliverdarcy getting owned like this https://t.co/qLo1YTmxjz
