As Twitchy told you, Donald Trump won’t be speaking at CPAC after all, citing another obligation in “Witchita, Kanasas.”
Newt Gingrich thinks Trump’s making the right call:
Trump was right to skip CPAC. The votes are in Kansas not Washington. Why give the anti-trump activists a target
— Newt Gingrich (@newtgingrich) March 4, 2016
“Anti-Trump activists”?

There's a name for "anti-Trump activists," @newtgingrich.
They're called "conservatives." Maybe you'll meet one some day.

Let’s just say Gingrich’s defense of Trump isn’t going over terribly well with many conservatives:
Some of you may have admired this malleable shill, but I was never fooled. Even in 1994. https://t.co/YVJJgaKZRJ

@newtgingrich Newt, you have turned into another foolish Trump shill. I am embarrassed for you and have lost all respect

@newtgingrich as a Republican I am embarrassed that you would support a racist bully.
— Tracy C (@tlcoker74) March 4, 2016
@newtgingrich in other words, don't appear in front of people who might disagree with you and stand for your ideas? Oh….
— Matthew Ferrara (@mfcompany) March 4, 2016
@newtgingrich where is your integrity?
— Ryan (@chasinghumility) March 4, 2016
@newtgingrich such a debasing tweet
— Mollie (@MZHemingway) March 4, 2016
@newtgingrich Newt, I've been seeing this coming with you. Have to unfollow.

@newtgingrich Dodging the fire is not something a candidate should do. He says he is a conservative. Should be accountable for that claim.
— CryForHelp (@CryForHelp) March 4, 2016
@newtgingrich I'm old enough to remember when Newt was conservative and sided with conservatives. Why does he defend large gov Trump?
— Nessuno (@NessunoIm) March 4, 2016
Someone's belatedly working out his "mad that they never nominated me" issues. https://t.co/2jZaeNhvbm
