Yeah … too bad that’s never stopped him before.
NBC News’ senior political editor Mark Murray has noticed that Obamacare hasn’t been faring particularly well in the public arena. So, this morning, he put on his thinking cap to figure out why.
Here’s what he came up with:
Why Obamacare's (un)popularity is probably going to continue: ACA opponents have sole control over the airwaves (1/2)
— Mark Murray (@mmurraypolitics) April 15, 2014
Per CMAG's Elizabeth Wilner, number of anti-Obamacare commericials since March 31: 32
Number of pro-Obamacare commercials: 0 (2/2)— Mark Murray (@mmurraypolitics) April 15, 2014
Political scientists believe TV ads have an impact on public opinion when one side has unilateral control over the airwaves
— Mark Murray (@mmurraypolitics) April 15, 2014
“Unilateral control over the airwaves.” If anyone needs us, we’ll be over here. Laughing hysterically.
It's early, but I'm going to go ahead and say that's the dumbest thing i'll see today. @mmurraypolitics

It’s definitely a strong contender.

@Matthops82 No, no… @mmurraypolitics is correct. CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS & NBC are all fronts for the GOP.

Do you have any idea how "in the bubble" you need to be to believe this? https://t.co/NLcd934RxR @mmurraypolitics

This dude. https://t.co/NLcd934RxR You really can't get any more Beltway Bubbled than this guy.

@eriContrarian @mmurraypolitics "sole control" Can't believe he typed that and hit 'tweet'

.@mmurraypolitics Insane. How does someone like you get/keep such a position at @NBC?

and brave is the journalist that continues to stand fearless, undaunted, slaying truth to all their lies @mmurraypolitics

you know @mmurraypolitics, in many ways obama's uphill battle against newscoverage is not unlike the task at normandy faced by our troops

Wonder if those hats fit over the blindfold and earplugs Murray has apparently been wearing all this time.
One thing that @mmurraypolitics won't note is the large amount of pro-Obamacare commercials and advertising bought with taxpayer dollars.

Senior Political Editor also seems to have forgotten that this law was promoted by celebrities and athletes constantly. @mmurraypolitics
— eric (@eriContrarian) April 15, 2014
.@mmurraypolitics are you insane? Have you seen those tax payer funded pro ACA commercials? You're a leftist shill.

@mmurraypolitics Obviously neither you nor Wilner were watching the NCAA tournament to see ads w/LeBron James & Alonzo Mourning touting ACA

True story. And the thing is, with or without “the airwaves,” it’s still painfully obvious to the American people that Obamacare sucks.
Hey @mmurraypolitics, maybe the reason why there's so much ACA opposition is because – GASP! – people are feeling it and don't like it?
— RBe (@RBPundit) April 15, 2014
Of course, it couldn't be unpopular BECAUSE IT HURTS PPL or anything…What the actual crap is wrong with you people? @mmurraypolitics
— Artist_Angie: Sensei of Sarcasm (@Artist_Angie) April 15, 2014
@RBPundit Beyond insulting that @mmurraypolitics thinks a TV ad influences my opinion more than my cancelled plan and denied treatments.

@mmurraypolitics @Artist_Angie Good Lord, man. Get out, go for a walk, talk with people, open your eyes. You'll wince remembering this tweet
— Rusted Irony (@atoka7) April 15, 2014
Well, to wince at his own stupidity, he’d have to feel shame. Based on what we’ve seen from him so far, that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon. But at least something positive can still come out of this:
@hboulware They're not going to stop until November. @katearthsis @mmurraypolitics

And mockery, unlike Obamacare, is good for the mind, body, and soul.
