Tea Party rock star Katrina Pierson, who is running for Texas Rep. Pete Sessions’ seat, appeared this morning on “Fox & Friends,” where she was asked to weigh in on lying liar Wendy Davis. Pierson didn’t disappoint:

She just needs to be honest about her life story. I mean, it’s tragic. I’m a single mom, I had a hard time. I’m talking about that on the campaign trail. We don’t have to make up our lives to connect with people.
Bingo! If being honest isn’t good enough for you, then you’re not good enough for us.
Pierson also commented on Davis’ cringe-tastic suggestion that her paraplegic opponent Greg Abbott should walk “a day in her shoes”:
Well, it’s no doubt, this was very rude and condescending. And it definitely shows just how low Democrats will go. And we see a common theme among this party now about no accountability. No one wants to be held accountable for what they say or what they do or as they govern. And it’s pretty shameful, especially in Texas.
Taking responsibility … what a novel idea! Here’s hoping that Pierson’s commonsense political approach is a sign of things to come. Congress needs more like her.
