The $940 Federal Agriculture Reform and Risk Management Act of 2013, otherwise known as the Farm Bill, has been defeated in the House of Representatives. Nearly 80 percent of the spending in the pork-laden monstrosity was set to be allocated for food stamps.
Fiscal conservatives are grateful that, for a change, common sense has prevailed:
