What a shame she’ll be stepping back. We’ll miss her smiling face as she lists all the things the House Democrats have done and are still planning to do to screw us over. But maybe now she’ll have more time to spend with her luxury freezer stocked with gourmet ice cream, right?
But that wasn’t the only announcement she made today. No, she also announced that she is, as she ever was, “a devout Catholic.”

Far be it from me to judge someone else’s religious faith (as I’ve mentioned before, I’m Jewish and certainly no expert on Catholicism), but I feel like actively advocating for a cause that stands in pretty clear and direct contradiction of Catholic doctrine while calling yourself “a devout Catholic” seems just a touch dishonest. Call me crazy.
