As a general rule, Holocaust analogies are a bad idea. If you’re considering using one, we wouldn’t advise it.
But for some people, it’s probably best not to talk about the Holocaust at all. Not if they’re going to talk about it like Whoopi Goldberg talks about it, anyway:

Well, to be fair, to their credit, Joy Behar and Ana Navarro did take issue with Whoopi Goldberg’s framing.
I think Whoopi is trying to take a broader view here, but it can be about multiple things, including racism *and* "man's inhumanity to man".
