The Daily Show recalls 'the biggest scandal in presidential history,' conveniently leaves out some of Obama's greatest hits [video]

Today is a very special and important day, because it’s the fifth anniversary of Tan Suit Day:

“The Daily Show” has certainly kept it alive in their hearts:

Five years ago today, Barack Obama wore a tan suit, the biggest scandal in presidential history. #FYC pic.twitter.com/H33y98ypib

Dave Chappelle’s no longer funny, we’re told. But “The Daily Show,” on the other hand? Friggin’ hilarious.

"Republicans were obsessed with the tan suit" says every leftist on Twitter who happens to remember the anniversary of him wearing it. https://t.co/qQ2FKt2BqF

LOL – They keep dragging this pony out of the barn every couple of months and trying to ride it.

Hey, anything to distract from actual Obama scandals.

Bigger than the president sending pallets of crisp $100 bills to the worlds largest state sponsor of terrorism?

— 30-50 Red Eye Feral Hogs (@Red_Eye_Robot) August 28, 2019

Bigger than whe a US ambassador was killed by terrorists on the anniversary of 9/11 and the Obama administration lied about it and said it was because of a YouTube video that Nobody had actually seen?

— 30-50 Red Eye Feral Hogs (@Red_Eye_Robot) August 28, 2019

Bigger than when we found out that a border patrol officer was killed by a drug trafficker who was supplied the gun he used by the Obama administration?

Droning US citizens
Weaponizing IRS
NSA Spying
Benghazi coverup
FBI warrants to frame Trump

— Wittorical (@Wittorical) August 28, 2019

This was manufactured outrage, just like Michelle’s bare arms. No one cared but the people pretending that people cared.
No, pallets of cash sent to Iran…
The Benghazi video lie…
Wire tapping a journalist…

— Katiedid shedid shedidnt (@KShedidnt) August 28, 2019

Not sure if that was the "largest scandal" in the Obama presidency.

There was the Benghazi thing, remember?

— Rocky Mountain Views (@RockyMountViews) August 28, 2019

Just my opinion, but I think the extrajudicial droning of U.S. citizens was probably his biggest scandal. But you do you. https://t.co/o76pgrV7KC

watching people try to force the “scandal-free Obama” talking point into existence reminds me of when the stepsisters try to force their big, awful feet into cinderella's slipper. just stop it. it’s gross and you're embarrassing yourself.

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs’ response after being asked about the incineration of Anwar al-Awlaki’s 16-year-old American son: “I would suggest that you should have a far more responsible father if they are truly concerned about the well-being of their children.”

— T. Becket Adams (@BecketAdams) August 28, 2019

but lol a brown suit

— T. Becket Adams (@BecketAdams) August 28, 2019

Tan suit.

I think you conveniently overlooked a few serious things involving Obama. but you already knew that.

— cr (@propatriots) August 28, 2019

Of course they knew it.

I don’t even remember this happening apart from be reminded it was his only scandal every time someone mentions his name

— Jonathan Drown (@JDrown95) August 28, 2019

It was discussed ad nauseum at the time but none of it was outrage. A lot of it was talking about the fact that everyone was talking about it. Kinda like the fake Twitter controversies of today. https://t.co/Udhg2TuqeW

— neontaster (@neontaster) August 28, 2019

A year or two ago someone like MMFA put out a video showing republican "outrage" over the tan suit and none of the clips in it showed anyone angry. It was just Fox and Friends talking about it and such.

— neontaster (@neontaster) August 28, 2019

Reminds me of how everyone was saying it was dumb that there was outrage over AOC dancing on video in college, except there was no outrage.

— Thorgil ? (@PThorgil) August 28, 2019

There really needs to be a name for outrage over outrage that never happened in the first place since it is so common. Something like "Spontaneous Outrage Combustion." The internet explodes without a catalyst. https://t.co/bOxfHp7hzl

— neontaster (@neontaster) August 28, 2019

It keeps happening. And the Left is counting on it.
