Yesterday, Twitter unveiled its most recent set of safety guidelines (subject to change, of course) in order to make this a safe space for everyone. The list of rules included this one:
We have zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation on Twitter.https://t.co/X0hPDRmjSG
— Twitter Safety (@TwitterSafety) June 6, 2019
“Zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation,” huh? If that’s the case, they might want to have a word with HuffPost about this:
If you wanted proof that the future is queer, look no further than this inspiring drag kid, Desmond Is Amazing. ? pic.twitter.com/368FZtVVbp
— HuffPost (@HuffPost) June 7, 2019
If that’s not child exploitation, we don’t know what is.
You’re exploiting a child.
— Julia Marie (@celestial_chic) June 7, 2019
No, Desmond is being used to further an agenda.#stopchildabuse
— Shelly Sheed (@shellysheed) June 7, 2019
This is child abuse
— David Thomas Nagy (@davidtnagy) June 7, 2019
This is child abuse. Stop it.
— Nick James (@NickJam54531190) June 7, 2019
Like OMG! Child abuse is totes kewl and FIERCE! pic.twitter.com/OaAm0rBOhY
— Telly (@smegalreturns) June 7, 2019
Have you all lost your minds? This should be considered child abuse.
— Steve Bailey??? (@SteveBa95854165) June 7, 2019
you people are so wrong for exploiting children like this, smdh
— #SchulzRunWild (@schulzrunwild) June 7, 2019
This is child abuse and you're sick people for pushing it as normal.
— Smells Like Teen Statism (@BlueEightySix) June 7, 2019
This goes way beyond just "queer" and solidly into disturbing territory. This poor child is being used and abused and should not represent the face of the future of anything other than what NOT to promote. What the heck is going on over at @HuffPost to think this is acceptable?
— E Meow (@emeowwww) June 7, 2019
So how about it, Twitter? When can we expect you to make an example of HuffPost and make them face the consequences for so blatantly violating your zero tolerance policy?
Is child exploitation a violation of Twitter’s T&C?
— BryMAGA (@Bryan74554714) June 7, 2019
That’s what we were told.
Uh huh… pic.twitter.com/NsYMxgDEA3
— Doug Powers (@ThePowersThatBe) June 7, 2019
Hello @Twitter,
I thought child exploitation was against the rules.
Can you please suspend @HuffPost's account until they take down this tweet?
Thanks in advance. https://t.co/03qMwlXsiH

Update:
Oh, hey. Would you look at this? Turns out it’s not just HuffPost who should be getting a call from the Twitter Safety Police:
These kids are the next generation of drag queens. pic.twitter.com/UfgeakEyu6
— VICE Canada (@vicecanada) June 6, 2019
Why is Vice promoting blatant pedophilia?
To think there was a time I thought this magazine was 'cool'. SMH.
Disgraceful. https://t.co/nt36eZfG1c
— ZUBY: (@ZubyMusic) June 6, 2019
Vice’s tweet’s been up for 24 hours. Is Twitter going to stand for that?
Hi @TwitterSafety, I'd like to report child sexual exploitation on Twitter pic.twitter.com/A5LDEFmk90
