Rashida Tlaib is in full meltdown mode again, this time over a years-old cartoon that dares to connect the dots between her rhetoric and the kinds of groups that once relied on exploding pagers.
The Michigan congresswoman seized on a satirical sketch by Detroit News auto columnist Henry Payne — originally published elsewhere.
She framed the drawing as pure racism and claimed it proves the paper routinely soft-pedals anti-Muslim hate.
Because you know, there's no reason for Americans to think she supports Hamas or anything, what with her previous rhetoric, even going so far as to spew, 'from the river to the sea.'

The timing was no accident. Tlaib amplified a separate gripe about the same outlet labeling Jan. 6 participant Jake Lang an “activist” while covering his latest visit to Dearborn, where he has repeatedly called out radical Islam in her own backyard.
Payne’s cartoon was never subtle, and that is precisely the point. It lands as sharp commentary on Tlaib’s consistent refusal to draw clear lines against Hezbollah and its allies, the same outfits whose devices went boom in spectacular fashion. Instead of grappling with why the association sticks, she pivots to victimhood, insisting the mere depiction will somehow incite violence against Arab and Muslim communities.

Truth hurts.
Detroit News has made clear it will not punish Payne for work done outside its pages, and good for them. Political cartoons exist to skewer the powerful, not to coddle them.
Tlaib’s record of downplaying terrorism while amplifying every slight against her preferred narratives makes her an obvious target. Pretending otherwise is the real memory-holing. When the left cannot defend the substance, they reach for the racism card.
This latest flare-up only confirms how accurately the cartoon captured the absurdity.
