Sorry, but we're not getting the connection between pregnant women drinking alcohol and fathers drinking alcohol

We’re not sure how we feel about stopping to lecture women about fetal alcohol syndrome when they aren’t actually drinking alcohol but just craving it, but hey, we weren’t there; this person was:

Sitting next to some pregnant ladies. They say they crave alcohol. The one says Black Label in particular.

So I step in and tell them about fetal alcohol syndrome.

In her second pregnancy she never drank but baby was disabled

Pregnant people are whole human beings, not baby incubators. Patriarchy demands that they be pure gestational vessels despite toxic environments and structural oppression, while absolving fathers of responsibility. If you want healthy babies, work for healthy societies.

This is definitely someone who’s taught at a few universities; bonus points for using the term “pregnant person” and not “pregnant woman” so as not to exclude trans men.

– Don't advertise alcohol; women are too dumb to know it exists

– Tax alcohol (which we're already doing)
