Here’s the report from CNN International:

Bedouin tribesmen have kidnapped two Brazilian tourists, their guide and a police officer in Egypt’s southern Sinai Peninsula, an Interior Ministry spokesman said Sunday.

The tourists, a woman and a teenage girl, were kidnapped near the Greek Orthodox monastery of St. Catherine’s, Interior Ministry spokesman Alaa Mahmoud told CNN. Their kidnappers are demanding the release of Bedouin prisoners jailed under longtime Egyptian strongman Hosni Mubarak, as well as the cancellation of sentences handed down in absentia.
