Go home 2018, you're drunk: Vox reporter defends President Trump's 'Steel Slat Barrier' illustration

President Donald Trump is getting mocked by the blue-check media over this illustration of what he envisions a “Steel Slat Barrier” on the U.S.-Mexico border would look like. There are dozens and dozens of responses, but CNN’s Jim Acosta is pretty much indicative of what they’re all saying:

Huh? After attending rally after rally during the campaign with chants of "build the wall" and promises that Mexico would pay for it, this is where we end up? A cartoon image of pointy spikes unveiled days before Christmas as the government is on the verge of a shutdown. https://t.co/SoFkNikmXw

Except, according to Vox’s immigration reporter Dara Lind, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it:
