Colorado Democrat Governor John Hickenlooper told folks gathered at a New Hampshire diner that “I’m going to run for president” but then seconds later said, “to be honest, I haven’t made the final decision”:

We saw history made … and then we saw it unmade:

But it did sound like he was citing campaign finance rules which treat candidates who have officially declared differently than those just thinking about it, which goes to show just how absurd some of these laws are:

Yes, Hickenlooper said he was running for president and then walked it back citing campaign finance laws.
