And Kyl is actually “sherpa-ing” Brett Kavanaugh through his SCOTUS nomination and will “now get to vote on confirming him”:

Update. The White House is reportedly not happy with the pick:

According to a source familiar, the WH is not pleased w/ the Kyl appointment, largely because they wanted someone who will run in 2020. Per same source, Kyl is holding the seat until Kirk Adams, Ducey's chief of staff, can run for it in two years.
