Santa Clara County Judge Aaron Persky, who gave Stanford student Brock Turner what was thought by many to be a lenient sentence when he was convicted of sexual assault in 2016, was recalled by voters in California yesterday:

Turner was sentenced to 6 months in jail after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting an unconscious classmate in 2016:
