Presumably CNN didn’t think President Obama meant “get out” when he said “thank you” at the end of press conferences:

And now I’m going to go on vacation. Mele Kalikimaka, everybody. (Laughter.) Mahalo. Thank you, everybody.

Translation: “Get out”?

The meaning of a presidential “thank you” has changed, according to CNN.
