As Twitchy reported over the weekend, an attorney made himself famous by going above and beyond even a member of Congress when it came to freaking out over Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and Title IX. Before his Twitter account vanished, Rob Ranco made it clear he’d be OK if DeVos were sexually assaulted.

The price of Rob Ranco’s social media fame appears to be his employment with the Carlson Law Firm, according to Jenni Lee of KVUE. In a statement from the firm, Ranco was said to have crossed a line “that simply cannot be uncrossed.”

Ranco had sent KVUE a statement apologizing for his “controversial” tweet, saying, “I hope that Secretary DeVos and anyone else who was offended, impacted, shocked by my actions … can find it in their hearts to forgive me.”
