It pays to be careful about how you word things on Twitter, particularly when you’re a progressive advocate trying to drag the country in a direction it doesn’t necessarily want to go; take, for example, the gun control group that inadvertently warned of a homicidal toddler who’d been on a two-year shooting rampage.

On Thursday, Nina Ford of Promundo — “engaging men and boys to promote gender equality and end violence against women internationally” — tweeted about the #ManBox, intersectionality, toxic masculinities, and the concern that 60 percent of young men in the U.S. agree that they should act strong despite how they feel inside.
