President Obama to sit for intelligence briefing with comedian who hosts fake news show

Less than a month ago, President Obama was so concerned with the “epidemic” of fake news that he addressed the topic during a visit to Germany.

We live “in an age where there’s so much active misinformation,” the president warned, “and it’s packaged very well and it looks the same when you see it on a Facebook page or you turn on your television.”

Hopefully President Obama will give more details on this epidemic when his interview with “Daily Show” host Trevor Noah airs Monday night. When we recently checked in on Noah, he had just deleted a tweet in which he lied about Vice President-elect Mike Pence supporting the electrocution of gays to make them straight.

Sounds legit.

It’s a shame that Jon Stewart, “the most trusted name in fake news,” didn’t stick around for this one; who even knows where Noah ranks on the fake news trust scale?

He’s not … is he?

It’s difficult to tell. “The Daily Show” is packaged very well, and it looks the same when you see it on a Facebook page or you turn on your television.
