Bald lives matter: Yoko Ono exercises hair privilege in her call for hair peace

We’ve come a long way since “Hair” made its debut on Broadway in 1968 and John Lennon and Yoko Ono held their first bed-in for peace in 1969.

Actually, scratch that. A lot of bitter clingers to the anti-war movement of the ’60s  haven’t made any progress at all. Almost 50 years later, Yoko Ono is still promoting “Hair Peace” in a tweet that sounds like a promoted shampoo ad in search of a sponsor.

Doesn’t she realize how hurtful those words can be to the hair challenged?

That’s the thing about walking around with hair privilege; those who enjoy the benefits don’t even realize it. They can just walk into a barber or hair salon without a second thought about raising suspicion.
