News than an Afghan teen was killed by police in Germany after going on a stabbing spree on a train Monday has been met with news from Canada, where two men were arrested in connection with one of three stabbing incidents in the city of Ottawa over the weekend.

Police announced Monday afternoon that two men had been charged in connection with the incident Sunday where five people were hurt, four of them stabbed. The incident reportedly began with a fight between two groups who parted ways and then met up again, at which time knives entered the picture. A third, female suspect was released without charges.

Let’s not assume any motives just yet, although the police say the mass stabbing Sunday was not gang-related.

The subject in the first incident is described as a white male in his mid-20s and has yet to be apprehended. For once, though, the NRA looks to be in the clear, as the incidents didn’t involve guns and took place in Canada.
