Debbie Wasserman Schultz zings GOP for 'hiding' debate on Super Bowl weekend

DNC chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz found herself in an awkward and unexpected position when Sen. Bernie Sanders entered the 2016 race as a Democrat. Hillary Clinton was supposed to be sole candidate, and suddenly Democrats were booing her and shouting her down at the New Hampshire Democratic Party convention demanding more debates.

Wasserman Schultz did schedule a handful of debates, but it was difficult to overlook that they were being held at times and on cable channels that would practically guarantee low viewership. Even Vox published an explainer on why “Democrats scheduled debates on days when no one will watch.”

So, is Wasserman Schultz just making a subtle joke today in light of all the fuss (unlikely), or does she really believe this?
