'The Lion King' exposed as sexist, racist, homophobic, and pro-capitalist

The most commonly leveled charge against Disney films is that, with a few exceptions, the female characters are usually depicted as incomplete until they meet and marry a prince. “The Lion King” is a celebration of the patriarchy for sure, but we didn’t realize it raked so high in its number of transgressions against an allegedly modern society as ours.
