Kansas City Memorial Stair Climb goes on despite bomb threat [photos]

As Twitchy reported, an informant posing as a terrorist helped track down and arrest a Florida man who plotted to bomb the annual Memorial Stair Climb in Kansas City, Mo., with a pressure cooker bomb similar to the one detonated at the Boston Marathon finish line.

Joshua Goldberg, 20, sent the informant directions on how to build the bomb, which would be filled with nails and shrapnel dipped in rat poison “to inflict more casualties.” Goldberg was arrested on a charge of distributing information relating to explosives, destructive devices, and weapons of mass destruction.

And the firefighters and first responders? They went on with the climb as scheduled — no surprise there.
