George Takei referring to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas as a “clown in blackface” earned him plenty of backlash as well as a spin-heavy defense of his remarks from some in the “media.”
The hashtag #ApologizeTakei was started, but some calling on the former Star Trek actor to apologize to Clarence Thomas have been accused of not understanding the alleged validity of Takei’s comments:
