President continues intense negotiations with donors, will tape 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Hillary Clinton kicked off her press conference today with a swipe at the Republicans who signed an open letter to Iran regarding its negotiations with the president. Those 47 senators either “were trying to be helpful to the Iranians or harmful to the commander-in-chief in the midst of high-stakes international diplomacy,” she accused.

While it’s true that President Hollywood and his team are in the midst of intense negotiations, Obama will be doing plenty of multitasking this week, engaging in some intense, high-stakes fundraising for the Democrats while dealing with Iran on the side, presumably.

Here’s something that should have been done a long time ago: Obama will visit the Phoenix VA Medical Center, where dozens of veterans died waiting for care while schedulers used secret waiting lists to hide ridiculous waiting times. In fairness, the president’s motorcade did drive past the hospital in January on the way to a speech. This time he’s scheduled to stop (on the return trip from a Thursday fundraiser and an interview taping).

The interview? The president has agreed to grilled by Jimmy Kimmel.
