Glenn Thrush puzzled by Obama's 'low-key statement' on police executions; President issues actual statement

Is Glenn Thrush being sarcastic, or did the White House email a statement on the execution of two New York City police officers to Politico exclusively? Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Jesse Jackson, the Ferguson Action Coalition and even the family of Michael Brown issued statements Saturday on the horrific killings. But what about President Obama, who was golfing in Hawaii when he heard the news?

So, there hasn’t been a low-key statement from the president, just confirmation that he has been informed of the shooting and is monitoring the situation?

Apparently what Thrush meant was, why hasn’t President Obama issued a statement?

Drum roll, please: Just after midnight Eastern, President Obama did issue a statement on the killings.
