Sen. Mary Landrieu claims to fall 'more under the label of pro-choice,' but never promoted abortion

Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu faced off against her opponent, Rep. Bill Cassidy, Monday night in the last debate between the two before a runoff election Dec. 6. According to Politico, Landrieu received a “boost” during a conference call today when President Obama himself declared her “an outstanding advocate on behalf of Louisiana working families every step of the way.”

One early surprise from Democrat Landrieu, who has received ratings from 90 to 100 percent from pro-abortion groups like NARAL, was her claim that she falls “more under the label of pro-choice.” As Twitchy reported, a newspaper ad published after the midterm elections painted Landrieu as pro-life, saying that she has supported “important limitations” on abortion.
