Shut the front door!

MSNBC has hired White House Associate Communications Director Rachel Racusen as its vice president of communication, the network announced on Friday.

Racusen served as national deputy communications director for President Barack Obamas 2012 reelection campaign. She also has worked for FEMA, House education and Workforce Committee, SKDKnickerbocker and Dittus Communications.

Except it’s really happening. For real.

Eh, same difference.

Can’t blame MSNBC for snatching her up, though. She’s just perfect for them:

“I’m thrilled to add Rachel to our senior team. She has great experience, she’s creative, strategic and passionate about our brand,” MSNBC President Phil Griffin said in a statement.
