U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Harold Greene was killed in Kabul, Afghanistan after a man reported to be an Afghan soldier opened fire at a training facility. Many others were wounded in the attack.
President Obama has yet to mention the death of the highest ranking officer killed in combat since 1970. CNN’s Jake Tapper reported this to be the reason:
