'Cesspool!' Tepid applause when Matthew McConaughey thanked God at Oscars; Guess who got more

As Twitchy readers know, actor Matthew McConaughey thanked God in his acceptance speech for his Best Actor Oscar at Sunday night’s Academy Awards.

Yep. As Twitchy reported, the crowd’s reaction was tepid at best.

That didn’t happen, did it?! Actress Cate Blanchett mentioned Woody Allen in her acceptance speech. Did that mention really receive equal applause?

That it was even a question is beyond disturbing.

Some viewers thought it was close.

But most, including Perez Hilton, reported that it was even worse: God received less applause.

Also disgusting? Gawker, as always.
