Sean Davis Puts the Final Mushroom Cloud Over NYTimes' 'We Don't Publish Unverified Info' Defense

The attempted hijacking of a flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv that was carrying mostly Israelis has caused the predictable media reaction, which is along these lines:

Brace for the MSM to do its best imitations of the old Norm Macdonald post in the coming hours and days. 

The New York Times took the cake though when their PR people defended a story that called one pilot stabbing the other in order to hijack and crash the plane an "altercation."

Nice Community Note they've got there!

"We don't publish speculation or unverified information" deserves a separate Community Note. 

People have responded with many past New York Times "journalistic" offerings to counter that claim, but The Federalist's Sean Davis had the mother of all past stories from the Times that obliterates their spin.

There are countless other examples of why that statement from the Times is totally laughable. 

But they don't publish speculation or unverified information"... or so we're expected to believe.
