Most people let nature run its course and age gracefully. A few use Botox to give their faces a temporarily younger look. Since money is not a hurdle for many celebrities, they go under the knife to cheat time. Hollywood stars will say anything for a buck and do anything to turn back the clock. Actor John Cusack is no different. He’s raising eyebrows (including his own) online thanks to a screenshot of a recent interview. Judging by Cusack’s ‘new look,’ it must have been one crazy summer of surgery.
The reactions to Cusack’s futile attempt to set his face back to 2012 are the sure thing to get you laughing. (READ)
What has John Cusack done to his face?! Oh my fellow Gen Xers, let's not do this. Age gracefully, age disgracefully, whatever -- but don't do this Barry Manilow crap. #RealLloydDobler pic.twitter.com/bVNIwh88bE

We wonder if Cusack turned to his plastic surgeon and said, ‘Looks like we made it.’ Well, made it worse.
Posters say the High Infidelity star has decided on high brows and skinnier eyelids.
No he’s had quite a bit of work done. He always had low lying brows and heavy lids when he was younger. Those don’t go away as you age. He’s obviously had a brow lift and bleph + it looks like a new facelift in the new pic. pic.twitter.com/j3PVO0dnt4

Oh boy. It looks like a brow lift plus eye job. Men should never get brow lifts (see Kenny Rogers, Mickey Rourke, etc.). And definitely not at the same time as an eye job. How do plastic surgeons and their Hollywood clients not know this by now?

Hey Doc, give me the “Mickey Rourke” package.

It reportedly took 9 1/2 weeks for Rourke’s new mug to take hold.
Commenters imagined what Cusack’s face fiasco entailed.

‘Wow, you look great, Mr. Cusack!’
Posters say he dyed his hair, too.
Surely he's not coloring his hair.
— JWF (@JammieWF) September 30, 2026
Seems he's wasting his money on an awful look when he's not even acting any more (if he is, I'm oblivious to it).
— NavyMojo (@NavyMojo) September 30, 2026
The hairline is practically on the top of his head, too. As old Joe would say, "c'mon man."

Maybe Dr. Noonien Soong made a third android.
Commenters say Cusack might be gearing up for a Texas-sized biopic.
I don't know, but put a hat on him now and he looks like Stevie Ray Vaughn. pic.twitter.com/MZU0lmEbDa

They were his Pride and Joy!
— Jack Wilson (@jwilson1717) September 30, 2026
That’s what he named them. The right one is ‘Pride,’ and the left one is ‘Joy.’
Former fans say Cusack’s facelift is the most interesting thing he’s done in years.
It honestly makes me sad & sick. I used to be a fan until he came out as a raving lunatic.
— RMB (@rms432) September 30, 2026
I like it. It's another little litmus test for people. Who does it and who doesn't.
John lost his mind sometime after doing Gross Point Blank. Last thing he did that was watchable.
Very unfortunate, as I used to love him. He's been insufferable for decades at this point.
Getting bad plastic surgery on top of that at this point is frankly fitting.
— The Dog of Sinope 🇺🇸 (@SinoopyS) September 30, 2026
John Cusack is easily the most disappointing Gen X celebrity because he started off as the one so many of us once identified with. Now we wonder if he was always this far off his rocker.
— Michael Bruner (@MichaelBruner) September 30, 2026
Cusack is just one of many actors who’ve lost their minds over President Donald Trump.
Posters say there’s no point trying to scare Cusack or throwing him an unexpected birthday celebration.
Imagine going through life looking perpetually surprised.
— Nick Caraless (@JohnnyBialy) September 30, 2026
If I had the opportunity to interview him every question would be led with one of the following:

"Does it surprise you..."
"Are you shocked that..."
"Do you find it alarming..."

Good lord he could rent that forehead out as a billboard and make some money to fix that crappy plastic surgery 😳

He doesn’t have a forehead anymore he has a 5 head🫣
He’s gone full lesbian bookshop owner

Cusack’s a shoo-in if Hollywood ever does a Charlie Chan reboot. The surprise at landing that role is already on his face.
