Obama Was ‘Absolutely Confident’ Women Would Govern Better. X Is Less Certain -WATCH.

So an old Obama clip is making the rounds again, and apparently 2019 hasn't finished with us yet.

Back in 2019, while speaking at a leadership event in Singapore, the former president went on record arguing that the world would be better off with women in charge. Obama said women were 'pretty indisputably' better than men and went even further, saying that if women ran every nation on Earth for two years, there would be significant improvements 'across the board.' That's not somebody paraphrasing him years later. That's what he said.

And context doesn't really rescue the quote. Obama wasn't just tossing off a one-liner about women being better leaders. During the same 2019 remarks, he argued that many of the world's problems came from "old people, usually old men, not getting out of the way." He also said political leaders should remember that they are there to do a job, not to prop up their own sense of importance or power.

Fast-forward to 2026, TheBlaze dusted off the clip, dropped it back onto X, and — predictably — the internet had a few thoughts.
