So the Twin Cities DSA group had a bonfire, and as you might expect, the jokes wrote themselves.
We had a great time at the Tax the Rich bonfire and social this weekend! Burgers! Corn! Pie! Cake! and of course, Comrades!! Thanks to everyone who came out - excited to work with you all to TAX THE RICH! pic.twitter.com/u2LpF1TJG0

Tax the rich indeed. There's only one problem, though. The rich already pay most of the taxes.
Pfffft.... already been done. https://t.co/xzECmUlIbB pic.twitter.com/I49VEo0kwo

We've included a handy dandy table for quick reference.
Where’d you buy those burgers from? A capitalist? Disgusting.

Who wants to bet they bought them from Costco?
Gather beneath the string lights in a protected backyard, pass the PepsiCo snacks, and fire up the grill. The revolution will be catered with burgers and sheet cake. Seize the means of production, just leave the smartphone and Lays behind.

Aw man! No Ruffles? Really?
That fence is expensive. why would socialists waste money to construct a border?
— ... (@lesilly) September 22, 2026
Is this common in socialism where people are told to share by people who have nice wood fences?
let me know before i vote!
Weird, a border wall on stolen land.

Using their own trope against them is so much fun!
Why are you guys hiding behind a wall? pic.twitter.com/oy3ygbm58X

Why? Never ask them why! We shall.

And all the DSA kids be like:
The Democratic Socialists of America, the whitest and probably the richest political movement in the U.S., are beyond parody. Over the weekend, the Twin Cities DSA chapter held a back yard barbecue. How bourgeois of them!

For all the revolutionary rhetoric, the photos show something remarkably familiar: friends gathered around a backyard grill, enjoying burgers, desserts, and an evening behind a nice wooden fence.
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that.
But when you advertise the gathering as a 'Tax the Rich' bonfire, don't be surprised when the internet starts asking who owns the backyard.
The revolution will be catered, comrades.
Just remember to close the gate on your way out.
