Ted Cruz Cites CNN's Reporting on James Talarico (Kaitlan Collins Runs Cover for the Dem Anyway)

We're now firmly in the season where Democrats running for office are trying to hide their true beliefs, and many in the media are more than happy to help the Left with that effort.

In the Texas Senate race, nobody is doing more pivoting than the campaign of James Talarico in his race against Republican Ken Paxton.

Here's a shot and chaser from Talarico and his campaign about his past remarks on the evils of capitalism:

Then of course came the inevitable backpedal:

And with that, many "journalists" can now help Talarico push back against what he said about capitalism by citing their excuse that he didn't really mean what he said.

You'll notice that CNN's Kaitlan Collins did something like that when Ted Cruz brought up Talarico's past comments about capitalism.

Here's the part where yet another journo tried to help Talarico with spin:

“James Talarico is someone who ran a vegan campaign because he believes meat is destroying the world. Now, that would be a great campaign in Berkeley, California. But it’s not Texas.”

COLLINS: “He’s not a democratic socialist.”

CRUZ: “Okay, you say that. Tell me then: what does dismantling capitalism mean? That’s his own words.”

COLLINS: “Yeah, I know. CNN uncovered those words, actually. We’ve also cited what his campaign has said about it.”

CRUZ: “Of course he’s running away from his record. That doesn’t mean that’s not what he believes.”

We're going to be hearing a lot of media types helping Democrats with their "they no longer believe those things they said not very long ago because they just said so" spin.

THIS. Is CNN.
