Rep. Jamie Raskin was on NBC News' Meet the Press on Sunday, where host Kristen Welker asked him if there's enough room in the Democrats' "big tent" for Hasan Piker, Abdul El-Sayed's former BFF, who now refers to him as just "a streamer in California." Raskin, having gotten the memo, called it all "an irrelevant distraction" before declaring that "nobody supports Hamas." This was immediately after being shown a clip of Piker saying he'd "vote for Hamas over Israel every single time."

@jamie_raskin it’s simply delusional to state that nobody supports Hamas. The entire DSA - for which Piker is a hero - supports Hamas. They were out celebrating “resistance” on October 8th. Disliking Bibi or Trump does not negate these facts.

Maybe argue context. Maybe argue what he meant. But pretending the words weren’t said is not a rebuttal.
Raskin could have simply said, No, there is no room in the tent for Piker. But he realizes the Democrats need every vote they can get, including from the Democratic Socialists and Hamas fanboys, so they can win the midterms and enact their single policy of impeaching President Trump.
