Police Say Immigrant Who Killed Two Antifa Members Was Hunting Gay Men

We used the word "immigrant" in the headline because nothing we've seen indicates that the killer was an illegal alien. Ousman Ceesay is described as a "Tucson newcomer" who was born in Gambia but lived in the United States for more than a decade. This newcomer shot and killed two men outside a gay bar before turning the gun on himself. Police say he had a list of other LGBTQIA businesses that he'd planned to target.

Days after what police say was a hate-motivated shooting outside a gay bar in Tucson, Arizona, a fuller picture of the gunman is coming to light.

In a note, Ousman Ceesay — who was new to Tucson and had a history of financial trouble — indicated that the attack early Monday in the Venture-N parking lot was propelled by his hatred of the LGBTQ community and listed other possible targets, police said.

Ceesay, 44, had no apparent connection to Vincent Anthony Siqueiros, 42, and Cameron Davis Capara, 33, whom he shot and killed before he turned the gun on himself, Tucson police said.

A search warrant was served at Ceesay’s residence Monday afternoon, and detectives found evidence including a note that “further indicated he acted alone and that this shooting was a targeted attack motivated by hate toward the LGBTQIA+ community,” police said.
